To build more bike paths

In 2015, Bluffton celebrated the 25th anniversary of its first bicycle path. To commemorate this milestone, the Bluffton Lions Foundation organized the first Bluffton Ride to Remember, raising funds for a new bike path. Thanks to its success, the event became an annual tradition and is now one of the Foundation’s key fundraisers for expanding local bike paths. The community continues to rally behind this effort, with support from various organizations and individuals.

The inaugural ride in 2015 was a great success, drawing 101 participants. With overwhelmingly positive feedback and ongoing support, the event has grown each year.

The annual Bluffton Ride to Remember honors Ropp and Mary Emma Triplett, whose vision and dedication led to the creation of Bluffton’s first bicycle path.
